SUSAN MACKENTY BRADY is the author and co-author of four books, including: Wall Street Journal bestseller Arrive & Thrive: 7 Impactful Practices for Women Navigating Leadership (McGraw-Hill, April 2022), which sold 11,000 copies within nine days; The Inclusive Leader’s Playbook: The Work of the Inclusive Leader (Simmons University, 2021); Mastering Your Inner Critic and 7 Other High Hurdles to Advancement: How the Best Women Leaders Practice Self-Awareness to Change What Really Matters (McGraw-Hill, November 2018); and The 30-Second Guide to Coaching Your Inner Critic (Linkage, 2014). She is working on her 5th book project, All the Difference: How the Best Leaders Transform Complex, Strife-Filled Teams into Their Organization’s Most Powerful Strength to be published by Harvard Business Review Press.

(now SHRM) on Advancing Women Leaders where she led the field research behind and codified the 7 Leadership Hurdles Women Leaders Face in the Workforce™. Dedicated to inspiring all people to live in respect for self and other, Brady built and chairs the esteemed Simmons University Institute for Inclusive Leadership Strategic Advisory Board and serves as emeritus board member of the not-for-profit Strong Women, Strong Girls. Brady lives in the Boston area with her two daughters and two Portuguese water dogs.
